There's a draw to California, it's where the American Dream lives and dies everyday.  Talented hopefuls pile in from all corners of the nation all yearning for the chance to be the next big thing. The new face, the new actor, the new singer, whatever the dream may be they come hear full of aspiration to reach the pinnacle of the entertainment ladder. No matter how many family try to dismay them,no matter how high the stakes were, they risk it all for their dream. The Co-Defendants took that trek to LA with nothing but the clothes on their back, the dollars in their pocket, and a dream to bigfor Detroit to handle. With that in mind they constructed a song that chronicles the emotions, the thoughts, and the fight that newcomers to California are going through everyday. A couple years later and these guys are out here tearing down shows in Hollywoods biggest nightclubs, working with some of the best producers and engineers in the game, and en route to makign their dreams reality. Check out the Co  Defendants as we followed them at their latest show performing their new single, "Here We Come".

Michael Jackson. The creater of inspiration.  The light in the darkness. The greatest to ever live. The titles for one mans talent is endless. But simply put he was the King. His every move was all encompassing. He would sing and attentively we would lsiten, He would glide across stage and we would watch in  awe. No artist has ever been so cherished and so loved by so many. His music is a gift that never gets old, a love that never fades. Our generation witnessed a piece of history that may not ever repeat itself, and to that we must give thanks for the birth of a legend. Happy Birthday Michael Jackson.

Long Live the King.

"Reach for the Stars.." Probably the first metaphor we begin to comprehend from our childhood, to dream for the impossible, in hopes of landing on amazing- we begin to believe illusive lights in the sky hold the answers to our prayers. Stars have always symbolized an idea beyond full human grasp, as we've always taken a deep notice of them like we've been subconciously magnetized to them from the genesis of our existance. They guide us and in the same breath perplex us and confuse us, yet we've fallen in love and are whole heartedly inspired by these massive gaseous globes of light that illuminate our skies.

Somehow over time we've humanized this Godly idea and placed our awe not in the skies but into people. These "stars", now the new light of inspiration, cause dreamers to dream and hope to spread. Much like the stars that twinkle over us, these celebutized stars can cause confusion and uncertainty of our future. How can anything placed on such a divine pedastool forsake and lead the masses to darkness? Like the constellations spoke to the Mayans thousands of years ago, our Stars converse directly with the people of the world causing change for the good or the bad. Few cherish this gift, many wish they never had it.

SomeWhere Else's "Star Night" is their ode to reach the infinite platform, portraying the relentless nature instilled within the group; nothing will halter their march to gaining the unattainable.  Each rapper opens their heart showcasing their  dream to become supernovas, revealing their revelations of music to the world. Songs that physically take us, the listeners, SomeWhere Else: a place far from where we are at now, away from the greed, war and hate that condemn our lands and towards the path of truth, a future of true hope and love guided by music.

"Star Night" is available NOW for FREE download on SomeWhere Else's PROFILE. Spread the dream.

V's ability to create music that not only makes you want to move yet also stimulates your outlook on life is a refreshingly baus approach to music making. Next up we have the chance to give away an exclusive track from the supremely talented singer-songwriter duo of Stacey Barthe and Corey Chorus. "Drink My Pain Away" is not your typically structured R&B song. It's as poetic as it is musical. Stacey's mesmorizing voice gracefully captures the emotions of love lost and takes listeners on an all too familiar journey to the bottom of a glass. You'll definitely be hearing more from Corey and Stacey on TheeWebsite in the near future;  if you haven't had the chance to watch the Up In It episode with Stacey and Corey be sure to treat yourself as we went behind the scenes while they worked with multi-platinum R&B artist, Brandy on her latest project.

August 24th, 2010 America will be given a gift, wrapped with a British flag and packaged with endless talent.  I'm speaking of noneother than the young and beautiful Miss "Pixie Lott". Pixie has already been making waves all over Europe and now the tidal wave being set to fall upon the United States with the debut digital release of her  single, "Boys and Girls" from her debut album Turn It Up.  If you've had the chance to watch Pixie's "Live from the Hive" performance then you already know there's no denying the immense vocal abilities that this 19 year old star possesses.  The U.S. launch of  "Boys and Girls" is only the genesis of Pixie's soon to be reign over the States. Rest assured, you can be sure to hear Miss Lott all over the radiowaves.  In conjuction with her release, keep your eyes peeled for youtube sensation Fred Ficklehorn's new film "Fred the Movie" which Pixie is starring in. So alas, here she is atlast, British born and Amercia bound.

Over this past weekend, Pixie delivered a stellar performance at Britain's largest music festival: V Fest. This year the show was a little more special for the young star as it was her first time playing on the mainstage and being that the festival was hosted in her hometown of Essex. No surprise to us all, she killed it, leaving all her crazy cats wanting more. You can be sure TheeWebsite will be there to capture her first show in LA and give you a first glance look at the future of pop music .

The past two weeks have grown to be the introduction of what many agree as the future of music, stemming from the release of SomeWhere Else's debut album, Master Basement. Since the release, SomeWhere Else has dropped two songs (Make It and Taboo?)for free download both reaching the top of Hype Machine's twitter charts(a computer poll that ranks the most talked about music on twitter and popoular music blogs). In celebration of the completion of a brilliantly baus rookie album, SomeWhere Else held a private listening party at High Valley Studios with close friends, family and listeners from the industry. The coming together of so many different people to enjoy the masterful creation of these young artists was beautiful to say the least;Los Chronicles and TheeWebsite were proud to be there to support.

With the start of another week comes another tithe of amazing music from SomeWhere Else's album, Master Basement. This week they bless the world with "Grease" another hit single led by an orchesta of synths and a deep dive into the creative paralysis that SomeWhere Else is beginning to be known to deliver. "Grease" happened to  be the one track on the album that none of Artists could quite explain at the listening party, but its pretty clear this track house's some of their greasier and grungier verse's on the album.  Listen to and get Download to "Grease" by clicking the image below.
